Λιγότερο γοητευτικούς βρίσκουν τους άνδρες με γένια οι γυναίκες, σύμφωνα με νέα έρευνα. Ας δούμε όμως και το γιατί…Τσιμπούρια, κοριοί, ψείρες… Και όμως, ο φόβος για ζωύφια στα γένια κάνει τις γυναίκες να απομακρύνονται από τους… μουσάτους.
Σύμφωνα με έρευνα του Πανεπιστημίου του Queensland με επικεφαλής τη διδακτορική φοιτήτρια Τessa Clarkson, τα γένια μπορούν να αποτελέσουν αποτρεπτικό παράγοντα για τις γυναίκες στην επιλογή μόνιμου ή προσωρινού συντρόφου.
«Ανακαλύψαμε ότι η τριχοφυΐα στο πρόσωπο επηρεάζει αρνητικά τις προτιμήσεις των γυναικών, κυρίως λόγω της απέχθειάς τους για τα παράσιτα όπως οι ψύλλοι», δήλωσε η Barnaby Dixson, καθηγήτρια στο Τμήμα Ψυχολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Queensland.
Παράλληλα, η Δρ. Dixson υπογράμμισε το πολιτισμικό υπόβαθρο πίσω από τη συνήθεια ανδρών και γυναικών να αποτριχώνουν διάφορες περιοχές του σώματος όπως το πρόσωπο, το στήθος, τα χέρια, τα πόδια και η ηβική περιοχή.

Σύμφωνα με την Δρ. Dixson, η συγκεκριμένη έρευνα είναι η πρώτη που παρουσιάζει επαρκείς αποδείξεις για την επιβεβαίωση της θεωρίας που θέλει την αποτρίχωση έναν σίγουρο τρόπο αποφυγής παρασίτων στο δέρμα.
Στο πλαίσιο της μελέτης, 919 γυναίκες που δήλωσαν μόνες, στο στάδιο γνωριμίας με κάποιον ή παντρεμένες/δεσμευμένες – κάποιες επέλεξαν να μην απαντήσουν-, ρωτήθηκαν για τη γνώμη τους για τους ξυρισμένους άντρες ή με γένια, σε σχέση με τις προσωρινές ή μόνιμες σχέσεις.
Οι γυναίκες που ήταν μόνες και επιθυμούσαν να αποκτήσουν παιδί, έδειξαν προτίμηση για τους άντρες δίχως γένια, ενώ την ίδια προτίμηση έδειξαν και οι παντρεμένες, χωρίς η προτίμηση να συνδεόταν απαραιτήτως με την επιθυμία για απόκτηση παιδιού.
